Kev Hernandez (aka The Awesome Kev) is a Chevron IT Business Analyst based in Manila, Philippines. He took up a Bachelor’s degree in Management Information Systems at De La Salle University and graduated Honorable Mention and was recognized for making an outstanding contribution to the university. A former intern of Microsoft and the only member of the official Worldwide Social Media Team for Imagine Cup from the Philippines, he flew to St. Petersburg, Russia to cover the world finals of Imagine Cup 2013. Together with his team, Kev was also a winner of the Imagine Cup 2011 Web Design competition and is considered as one of the youngest finalists to ever make it in New York, USA at the age of 17.
Kev’s interest in traveling started when he was sent by his school to Tokyo in 2008 at the age of 15 as a reward for performing well in a 3-year Japanese course. This ignited his passion to continue traveling the world at a young age.
On a lighter note, Kev loves to travel whenever he can and experience what the world has to offer when opportunity arises. Kev loves to try new things as often as he can, eat (Instagram-worthy) food, go on different adventures, and share those escapades to the world through his travel blog. Some of the items in his bucket list include walking across the Salar de Uyuni in Bolivia, skydiving in Dubai, and floating on the dead sea in Israel. Kev aspires to see 100 of the best places on earth by 2030.
