Studio City is the splashiest development to open in Macau in years and a cinematic new addition to the Cotai Strip. It’s enigmatic, thrilling, and sophisticated that exploring the new Hollywood-themed casino resort made me feel like I was in Batman’s chic Gotham city (there’s even a Batman ride inside which makes a trip to the resort the closest experience you can get to being in the world of Batman). Set against a backdrop of modern hollywood and Art Deco-inspired architecture, the magnificent cinema-themed resort encompasses a labyrinth of pleasures: a two-tower hotel, entertainment venues for world-class performances, a global range of dining options, spectacular gaming areas, and a wonderland of luxury shopping, making Studio City another iconic landmark in Macau’s Cotai Strip.
For my second day in Macau, I decided to explore the historic centre, often known as San Malo. I finally got to see the UNESCO Wolrd Heritage Site Senado Square in person! A trip to Macau is not complete without touring the beautiful Senado Square, wherein you will also reach the nearby Ruins of St. Paul in minutes. The Ruins of St. Paul is probably one of the most iconic landmarks of Macau (I even bought a miniature St. Paul Ruins for my collection).
I have always wanted to try traveling alone and going solo on a place I have never been to before.. and since I am now working and earning my own cash, I decided to go on a Macau – Hong Kong trip for my first solo travel this year. It was really fun and fulfilling! It was also the perfect trip for my first solo adventure – a destination not too exotic and not too far from the Philippines.
