Aside from miniatures of iconic landmarks, another travel collection of mine are aircraft model of airlines from around the world. This collection started when I was in Kuala Lumpur where I bought my first 5 aircraft models from a weekend market seller. I initially displayed my first planes at my work station at the office but since the collection kept growing, I decided to move and display it in my room and share photos of my little aircrafts to you all here! I just thought these aircraft models are nice to look at as a travel collection and would inspire other jet setters out there to travel more. There are over 5,000 registered airlines with IATA codes so I I still have a lot to collect! 🙂
We all collect souvenirs whenever we travel, right? Some buy magnets, shirts, city mugs, or aircraft models. My travel collection? Miniatures of iconic landmarks across the globe. I started collecting miniature landmark pieces 6 years ago and actually got this idea from a friend who also enjoys travelling. I just thought that collecting my own set of miniature landmark pieces and displaying it in my room would inspire me to travel more. When I travel to a new destination, I make sure that I will be bringing home with me an addition to my collection. I am even lucky to have generous friends who donated some pieces to my collection. Here, I am sharing with you guys my #ItsASmallWorld travel collection that hopefully will continue to grow as years go by. It’s a small world after all!

Yesterday was a big day for me, my teammates, and all the other semi-finalist teams of this year’s Imagine Cup competition. It was the scheduled date for the big announcement of Microsoft: the list of all teams who will advance to Round 3 (finals) and will present their games in New York City! And the result?… WE MADE IT! 😀
